Our curriculum

A Rich Curriculum Built for Every Child

Rooted in the Creative Curriculum and inspired by Project Based Learning, our approach integrates all areas of development — so every child grows, explores, and thrives.

Our philosophy

Learning That Covers Every Area of Development

At Kiddie Mundo, we believe every child deserves a curriculum that nurtures the whole child. Our program is carefully designed to integrate social-emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and creative development into every activity, every day.

Social & Emotional

Building confidence, empathy, and healthy relationships through guided play and collaborative projects.

Cognitive Development

Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through hands-on exploration and inquiry.

Language & Literacy

Developing communication skills in both English and Spanish through stories, songs, and rich conversations.

Physical Development

Strengthening fine and gross motor skills through movement, outdoor play, and creative art activities.

Creative Arts

Expressing ideas and emotions through music, visual arts, dramatic play, and imaginative projects.

Spanish Immersion

Integrating a second language naturally into every subject area, building true bilingual fluency from an early age.

Our foundation

Grounded in the Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum is a research-based framework that guides our teachers in creating intentional, meaningful learning experiences. It provides a clear structure for observation, planning, and assessment — ensuring every child progresses at their own pace while meeting developmental milestones.

01

Intentional Teaching

Teachers use observation and data to plan experiences that meet each child exactly where they are developmentally.

02

Responsive Environment

Classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to invite exploration, independence, and collaborative discovery.

03

Family Partnership

Families are active partners in their child's learning journey, kept informed and engaged through Brightwheel.

04

Ongoing Assessment

Continuous observation and documentation ensure every child's growth is tracked and celebrated.

Project Based Learning

Inspired by Real-World Projects

Project Based Learning brings the Creative Curriculum to life. Children investigate real questions, solve meaningful problems, and create tangible products — all while building academic and social skills. Projects emerge from children's interests and are woven into every thematic unit.

Monthly themes

Thematic Units Designed by Age & Stage

Each month, teachers design thematic units aligned with children's developmental stages and the natural world around them. Themes connect all subject areas — language, math, science, art, and Spanish — into one cohesive learning experience.

August

All About Me

Children begin the year by exploring their own identity — their name, their body, their feelings, and what makes them uniquely special.

September

My Family & Community

Children celebrate the people who love and care for them. Projects include family trees, photo collages, and dramatic play centered around home life.

October

The Farm

Children step outside the classroom and into the wonders of nature. Through hands-on science exploration, animal studies, and our annual farm field trip, they discover how living things grow, change, and connect. Activities include leaf art, animal sorting, weather journals, and nature walks that spark curiosity about the world around them.

November

The Fall Season

Learning about nature, changes in weather, exploring temperatures, also learning about gratitude and family.

December

Celebrations & Traditions

Honoring diverse cultural celebrations and the joy of togetherness.

January

Winter Wonders

Investigating weather, science experiments, and the magic of the winter season.

February

Friends & Feelings

Deepening social-emotional skills through friendship projects and expressive arts.

March

Growing Things

Planting seeds, exploring life cycles, and connecting with our eco-friendly values.

April

Our Earth

Earth Day-inspired projects celebrating sustainability and environmental stewardship.

May

Movement & Music

Celebrating physical development, rhythm, and creative expression through the arts.

June

Ocean & Adventure

Diving into science, geography, and imaginative play inspired by the sea.

July

Around the World

Exploring cultures, languages, and traditions from every corner of the globe.
