Krakow Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University is located in the heart of the city, only 10-minute walk from the Main Market Square. Established in 1873, it is the oldest institution of its type in Poland. From Spring to fall, the garden features approximately 5,000 species and varieties of plants which have been assembled in sections and categories. In the garden, the visitors can find endangered plants of Polish flora, medical and water plants, the alpine gardens, ornamental plants and the arboretum housing collection of trees and shrubs. There are also three greenhouses of which two are accessible to the public. The palm house contains about 40 species of palms and dozens of species of philodendrons and fig plants. Another greenhouse features a collection of tropical commercial plants, such as coffee, tea, cocoa, ginger, etc.
At the Botanical Garden you can pay with cash only.
