Krakow Zoo
The Krakow Zoo is a medium-sized zoological garden. The Zoo displays over 1,400 animals representing around 270 species. A large group of animals at the zoo are endangered or threatened with extinction (over 100 species). These include: Rothschild giraffe, Przewalski horse, pygmy hippopotamus, small panda, snow panther, Amur tiger, maned wolf, South American sea lions, Addax antelope, chimpanzee, Indian elephant, great condor, Humboldt penguin. Most of the exhibits are outdoors in the natural setting of the surrounding Wolski Forest – a beautiful forest park with numerous marked walking routes and bike trails located right next to the Zoological Garden. The Zoo features a petting zoo and feeding demonstrations of the sea lions, penguins and elephants.
