Roof Garden of the Warsaw University Library

Roof Garden of the Warsaw University Library (Polish: Ogród na dachu Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego) is closely located to the Copernicus Science Center. It is one of the largest and the most beautiful roof-top botanical gardens in Europe. The two-level garden includes bridges, streams, pathways, sculptures, a fountain, plants that cover an entire hectare, and even a fishpond. From the roof-top you can admire the view of the Vistula river, the National Stadium, the Old Town, and the Swietokrzyski Bridge. You can also see directly inside the library through special windows, or the glass roof itself. It is a great place to stop and rest in the heart of the city and have a picnic surrounded by nature.

The garden is open from April to October. From November 1st to March 31st you can visit only the Lower Garden.
